Description
Class Experience
Kid entrepreneurs are everywhere! Most kids I know have had the thought, "Hmmmm...how can I make some money?" The problem is, without a plan, the dream usually fizzles away. If your student has a dream of starting his or her own business, the first step is PLANNING! I'll show your student the importance of the Business Plan in starting ANY new business. We'll encourage dreams and ideas, and we'll even look at how a real kid business actually works and makes money! No prior business...
Students will learn to write a genuine Business Plan, just like an adult entrepreneur might present to a bank or an investor. The Business Plan will have: - Executive Summary - Business Description - Details about Product or Service - Market Analysis - Strategies for Implementation - Management Team - Financial Plan
In addition to my full time work as a business manager for a large construction project, I've started a few side businesses over the past several years. I currently help my adolescent daughter manage a profitable glass bead jewelry business. My Masters Degree in Management focused on Entrepreneurship.
Students will have the opportunity to email me their Business Plan up to two weeks after the class for a one-time feedback from me to include strengths and opportunities for their business.
1 file available upon enrollmentIdeas and passion are all that are needed for this class. Oh, and maybe a notebook to jot down new ideas. Students will be supplied with a handout prior to the class.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
50 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.
