Class Experience

Learners will be taught all the elements on a bar graph including tittle, labels, numbers, y/x axis, and appropriate scales. Students will take data from a survey question and accurately put the data onto a graph.  I will teach step by step instructions on how to create the graph. Students will be able to ask each other questions and talk through their experience.  Students will be taught all about graphs and the start of class and will be given time to create the graph. The teacher will go step by step and give students time to complete each step before moving on.
Learning Goals
Students will learn elements of a graph including title, labels, y/x axis, space between bars and numbers. Students will learn how to take data and put data onto a graph with appropriate scales. Students will also look at different graphs and answer questions about the data. What option had the most votes, least votes and how many for each choice.

Supply List
Students will need graph paper, markers and a pencil. Students can also used lined paper with horizonal lines drawn.
External Resources
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Hello, thank you so much for visiting my profile! My name is Natasha Dixon and I have been a Registered Early Childhood Educator since 2016. I have worked in multiple different preschools with children from infants-school age children. I graduated from The Bachelor of Early Learning and Community Development program in 2020 which gave me the opportunity to gain experience supporting the community at large. I am currently in the Bachelor of Education Program program in the primary/Junior division at Queens. I am really interested in sports. I play lots of sports like softball, volleyball, golf and tennis! I also like staying active by going on lots of walks, hikes, bike rides and doing yoga. My goal is to make sure students stay engaged while having lots of fun while learning!  I love teaching yoga, science, circle and language classes. My goal is to make connections with the students and have such a memorable class they want to come back!
