Lips - Dark vs. light - Matte vs. gloss -The students will learn by demonstration, discussion, and example photos. For each point, 1-4, the students will be encouraged to participate and practice techniques and color (if available). The students are always welcome to ask questions specifically related to their makeup interest, ability, issues, and concerns. The teacher will ask for feedback and prompt questions and discussion from the students.
Learning Goals
The student will be able to explain why moisturizer with sunscreen is important. The students will understand the basics of makeup application and what each product is designed to accomplish. The student will be prepared to search for the best products suited for their needs and desires. Makeup is a wonderful way to express yourself and build confidence, but it should compliment who you are, not mask who you are.

Parental Guidance
Please ensure that your student has tested their makeup products on their hand or back of the arm prior to applying to the face.
NOTE: Unless a student has a verified badge from Outschool, each student is required to make video contact with me at the beginning of class. This is to ensure that the classroom includes only children as Outschool has a school-age policy for the safety and security of your child and to comply with state and federal laws. Refunds WILL NOT be made if a student will not make audio or visual contact.
Please refer to the policy found here: https://support.outschool.com/en/articles/4208968-information-for-teachers-on-learner-verification
Supply List
Try to bring mascara and lipstick to class for application practice (please see the attached file). Students are also welcome to bring additional makeup to class, but I recommend this be something they already have not brand new.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Teacher expertise and credentials
My very first students were my five daughters, I consider myself an expert on all things girl! I have loved to put on makeup, learn new tips and tricks, and research new products for as long as I can remember. I enjoyed passing this on to my daughters and now they pass along makeup tips to me.
