Students will be taught about various mythological goddesses while learning how to use *makeup to create the "looks" of each of the goddesses. There will be a different goddess featured in each class meeting. The goddesses featured in this class span various mythologies and cultures. If students would like to apply their makeup during class meetings, then they will need to have the following basic supplies available: Makeup brushes, blush in various colors, eye shadows or palettes of various colors & types (darker shades, lighter shades, matte, metallic, etc.), eyeliner (black or brown & a few colors such as purple or blue), mascara (black or brown), lip colors (neutral, pink, red, purple, brown, etc.), and makeup wipes. I will be doing a live makeup tutorial while I'm talking to the students about each goddess. There may be times when I use a slide presentation or a video clip. I encourage students to ask questions and share their thoughts and ideas. I want learners to have an interactive & engaging experience in my classes. No prior knowledge is required; however, parents need to make sure that their children can safely apply makeup. *No specific brands will be endorsed in this class.*

I have been working with makeup for many years. I do makeup tutorials on several social media sites. I am also a certified teacher and have taught mythology in several formats: public school, home education, co-op classes, and workshops.
