Description

Class Experience

The heart is a universal symbol of friendship and love.  During this class, we will make some hearts to give or to keep. The hearts will range from a simple folded heart to a more complex pleated heart. Learners will be encouraged to make at least one of each kind but can focus on those they like best. 

I will use a document camera so each learner can see how to do the project as well as talk through the instructions.

Students will practice following directions and using scissors.

I am a former Special Education teacher, specializing in helping students access language, science, social studies, and art.

Parents will want to have a color or any kind of paper, scissors, pens or pencils, crayons available. Additional materials such as paint, pastels, glitter glue, tape, or stickers are completely optional.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

45 minutes per week in class, and no time outside of class.

Parents may want to be available to help with cutting and to provide additional art supplies as needed.
