Beginner Level
In this class, your child will have the opportunity to bake chocolate chip cookies on their own. We will cover some basic expectations of bakers, such as clean hands, make sure you have all ingredients, and get adult help with the oven. We will be baking these cookies together from beginning to end. Students will be reminded to pause the teaching video so they can work at a comfortable pace. This will be a fun start to exploring independent baking for your child.
Learning Goals
Students will learn basic health and safety skills to be used in the kitchen.Students will practice measuring ingredients and following baking directions.

Students may need assistance accessing ingredients for baking. Students will need supervision while using the oven.

Students should know basic kitchen skills, i.e. stirring, using measuring cups/spoons, cracking eggs.
