In this one time class your learner will learn how to add vivid verbs to sentences in stories through explicit teaching, a fun game, modeling and practice. Each lesson will include: - a fun game to introduce vivid verbs - a mini lesson -an interactive notetaking experience with the learners own writer's notebook page -individual writing time -class share time The Sunday before class, in the classroom, I will post the notebook page printouts we will be using to create our writer's notebook page. Your learner will need the printouts, lined paper or notebook, scissors, glue stick, colored pencils and a pencil.

Learners will understand the value of adding vivid verbs when writing a story and have a resource to get vivid verbs from in future writing.

Parental Guidance
Learners will need to use scissors to cut out and paste the interactive notebook binder pages. Please provide glue sticks and NOT a glue bottle. A bottle of glue gets too messing and distracting for class. A glue stick is much easier for the learners to use independently.
