Teacher expertise and credentials
Hello, My name is Katina (Teacher Katina). I am currently a middle school Special Education teacher. I graduated from Southern Illinois University with a Bachelor of Science. I later pursued my MBA and owned and operated an event planning business. I mainly focused on children's birthday parties, corporate events, and baby showers. It allowed me to be creative and be home with my daughter. I have also been teaching English online for 5 years. I am TESOL & TEFL certified and have taught over 8,000 English classes. I returned to the classroom this year as a middle school special education teacher. Parents typically review my teaching as patient, energetic, encouraging, and fun! I use effective props and costumes to assist in learning and encourage student participation. Learning should be fun and enjoyable. My teaching style allows all of my students to feel engaged. I love to see my students smile in class! I look forward to having fun in the classroom with your child. Thank you for considering me as your Outschool teacher!
