Make Your Own Minecraft Character Using Adobe Illustrator! Beginner Friendly

In this class, learners will be introduced to the basic tools of Adobe Illustrator by creating a 3D version of a character in Minecraft. For learners who are interested in developing their graphic design skills, this is the perfect class to start! Adobe Illustrator is a very intimidating program, so it can often be helpful to learn the many tools and functions bit by bit. If your child has no interest in learning Adobe Illustrator, this is still a great class to allow their love for Minecraft to come to life. Learners can also save their creation and use it as an avatar or profile picture. 

No prior knowledge of Adobe Illustrator is required for this class, but your child MUST have computer knowledge. 

Please note: Adobe Illustrator is not a free program. However, you can download the free trial version on Adobe's website. Please be sure to do this before the start of class.  

By the end of this class learners will be able to:
- Understand artboards
- Know basic keyboard shortcuts used in Adobe Illustrator
- Know the basics of the 3D effect function (Extrude and Bevel)
- Creatively use lighting to change the 3D effect
- Be familiar with the select, rectangular grid, and live paint bucket tools
- Use the fill and stroke, and color options
