1 hrs 10 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Students will be learning how to make our own pizza dough from scratch. We will discuss how to create the perfect dough that is not too dry and not too sticky. Students will also be able to assemble their pizza with their desired toppings. I will have a Google slides presentation that explains the step by step instructions. While going through the slideshow, I will demonstrate what is to be done in each step. Students will watch my demonstration of each step, then they will have the opportunity to do it themselves. At this time, I will assist the students with any questions that they may have while also ensuring that they are doing each step correctly. The class will be finished once the pizza is in the oven. The class may end early or go over depending on how much assistance and time is needed during the duration of the class. Students should have some familiarity with the kitchen and cooking.
Learning Goals
Students will learn how to create their own pizza dough from scratch and later how to assemble their pizza.

Parental Guidance
Parents should supervise their children in the kitchen as this is a cooking course. Parents are responsible for their children as they work in the kitchen. We will be using an oven as well as a microwave and parents should assist the student with these steps. If the student wants to add a topping that requires cutting with a knife (ex. tomatoes) then the parent should assist or take over for the student. A mixer is also optional to use in this recipe but if a student chooses to use it then parental supervision is encouraged.
