In this one time class, students will learn how to make their own cookie cutters using a few household items. I first will demonstrate how to make each cookie cutter (we will make two during this class) and then will assist the students in making their own. The first cookie cutter will be a demonstration style to ensure safety precautions and the overall process is reviewed prior to students using the materials; for the second cookie cutter, we will work together to create them in parallel. ...
Students will learn how to design and make their own cookie cutters.
Students have the option of making more cookie cutters using the templates provided upon enrollment; we will also use these templates during class.
1 file available upon enrollment- Two (2) Heavy Duty Disposable Aluminum Roasting or Cake Pans - Standard Scissors - A Rolling Pin - Tape - Disposable Vinyl Gloves (or similar type) - Needle Nose Pliers (optional, but encouraged)
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
***Students should be able to safely use standard scissors (required) and needle nose pliers (optional).***
