I will assess and teach beginning reading skills. Consonant sounds will be assessed and any that are not known will be taught. Vowel sounds will also be assessed and any not known will be taught. Then, I will teach blending sounds together to read CVC words. I will use the whiteboard often to show the letters and words. I will screen share 2 programs (IXL and Raz-Kids). They will be used to practice and review the skills taught. There is no need for the learner to have an account and will not need to use these programs outside of our class.
