Description

Class Experience

Students will learn graphic editing with Pixlr to use sprite sheets.
Students will learn how to create a workflow to share between platforms.
Students will learn how a video game is built. 
Students will be expected to continue building the levels between classes. This includes extra backdrops, enemies, and attempting to build more character movements. They will submit the projects digitally to me for feedback.
 10 files available upon enrollment
Both scratch and pixlr are online resources. Students need to sign up for a free account with each so they can share and save their work from week to week. I am supplying a rubric, code snippets, and sprite sheets, which should be downloaded. Chrome book users may need to use pre-made templates because saving images is complicated.
In addition to the Outschool classroom, this class uses:
I will be trialing student's developing games and providing feedback based on the attached rubric. The rubric targets: Graphic editing skills, working within multiple programs, graphic coding skill, and overall game design.
55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
