In this fun small group art class using air-dry clay, children will learn how to use the slab method to create holiday ornaments. No baking is necessary. WHAT YOU NEED FOR CLASS: Clay (Crayola Air-Dry Clay, Sculpey Air-Dry Clay OR Play-Dough) All clay welcome. Holiday Cookie cutters or a sculpting knife/butter knife to cut the ornament shape. Clay Tools for scoring and stamping (toothpicks, wooden craft sticks, rulers, screws, nuts, bolts, firm toothbrushes) Newspaper or scrap canvas pieces to cover your work surface. Containers to store unused clay Sponges Water WHAT YOU MAY NEED TO COMPLETE YOUR CLAY ORNAMENT AFTER CLASS: **Students using white air dry or oven bake clay may want to paint the pinch pots when completely dry. Paint (Crayola Washable Paint or other) Paintbrushes Mod Podge (optional) Painting Mod Podge on your pinch pot will complete it with a glazed finish.
