This one-hour class will begin with a brief orientation and then provide space for students to explore and use their creativity to compose a song. No formal music training is necessary; the Soundtrap platform is very easy to use! For students with no previous music experience, I will provide additional instruction about basic song components such as tempo, tone, time signature, and bars/measures. Students with music composition or performance experience will be allowed to get started with their creative process following the DAW orientation.

Students should create a free personal account on Soundtrap (www.soundtrap.com) prior to the start of class so we can make the most of our time together. If you have any questions about this process please contact me and I'll give you a hand. NOTE: Any student under the age of 13 must create an account under a parent email account.
