Let's explore Paris with art! In this three day camp, students will visit three famous places in Paris- the Eiffel Tower, Notre Dame, and Montmartre- through pictures, videos, and stories. Each class will have a dedicated portion for learning about the place we are visiting (notable people and dates, important vocabulary, characteristics, and things to do) before launching into our art project for the day. Each project will use a different art medium and will be demonstrated live for students, allowing students to expand their art skills and create three unique pieces while learning fun facts about three of the most famous attractions in Paris! Students can expect a relaxed atmosphere where they can explore Paris and their artistic skills all at once. Day 1: All about the Eiffel Tower Medium(s): Sketching and pastels Day 2: All about Notre Dame Medium(s): Crafting Day 3: All about Montmartre Medium(s): Sketching and watercolors
Learning Goals
Students will learn the basic background of the three places visited, including important dates, cultural impact, and fun facts. Students will also be able to improve their art skills across three different mediums and create three pieces of art.
