In this joyful, creative weekly art club, students will create art from imagination based on quick prompts, make up stories & laugh together! It's a chance to practice flexible thinking and growth mindset. There are no mistakes here!

This class is taught in English.

Students will find delight in allowing their imaginations to run wild! Shy students or students who might find it more challenging to make art for fear of mistakes tend to drop their guard and enjoy themselves thoroughly when the pressure to produce has been lifted.

I'm a teaching arist and museum education with a BFA in illustration/graphic communication, an MAT in art education, more than 22 years of art teaching experience but MOST important...a love of laughter and silliness! Teaching the "Making Art From Mistakes and Imagination" class is one of my favorite chunks of time every week - wandering with the kids through such fun and giggles. I am starting this club because I want more of the same!

Students will not use all of these in the same week, but if they're nearby and accessible at any given moment, great!
-Drawing paper and/or colored construction paper (you will need this for pretty much every class - we usually start with white paper but if you like drawing on colored paper instead, go for it! You should have colored paper available, though, for collage.)
