Description

Class Experience

Welcome! In this class, students will be receiving a visual in-depth instruction on how to create a "diagonal" friendship bracelet. At the start, we will take some time to get to know each other by doing a few ice-breaker activities and games. This may require them to have space to move around. Next we'll go over the supplies needed to make the bracelet. I will give visual instruction on how to cut and create the knots for the bracelet. Students will be able to watch me tie the knots...

Learning goals for this lesson are as follows: 
- Students will learn how to make a friendship bracelet. 
- Students will learn how to follow step-by-step instructions.

I have over 10 years of experience as a Summer Camp Counselor where making friendship bracelets were key to making children feel safe and welcomed at camp. I personally continue to make friendship bracelets and jewelry in my spare time now because I love how relaxing it is, how challenging it can be, and the end product of a new bracelet.

Possible homework for this class is for student to take a picture of them giving their completed friendship bracelet to a friend.
