Class Experience

Do you love cute kawaii charms? Do you enjoy craft activities? Then this is the class for you!

In a step-by-step manner you will follow the teacher to make a cute kawaii charm, out of polymer clay. We will work through the steps together, so everyone can follow along, and have a product at the end of the class.

I will share a detailed supply list when you enrol, including some alternatives you can use to the specified equipment list. Please note that the outcome of this class will depend on having everything on the "essential" list ready at the start of the class.

I have other similar classes in this series:
•	Make a Cute Polymer Clay Totoro Charm
•	Make Cute Polymer Clay Kawaii Burger and Fries Charms

*note - I am happy to teach my design and make classes with only one learner. Please let me know if you would rather be transferred/refunded in the unlikely event that your learner is the only one in class.

Other Details

Parental Guidance
A cutting tool is on the equipment list. This does not need to be a sharp pointed blade, and can be a rounded palette knife or plastic cutting tool. If a sharp cutting tool is used, parental supervision may be required. After the class the product will need to be baked in an oven. Printable instructions will be shared, and this may require adult supervision.

Hi, I'm Astrid and I am a mum of two, and a teacher based in the United Kingdom. I have a Bachelor of Science degree in Applied Nutrition and Dietetics, and I have a Postgraduate degree in teaching Design and Technology. I have worked in schools for over 14 years, and am excited to bring my skills to an online platform.

I love to cook (unless it's dinner - e.v.e.r.y.d.a.y!!), to craft, and my guilty pleasure is gaming! I play Brawl Stars every single day, and I love Roblox (especially Bloxburg!) and Among Us! I am a HUGE Pokémon nerd and love to play Pokémon Go. Expect to see my classes based around these things, because when you love something, it's easy to enthuse others!

I love working with young people and sharing my love of craft & design, textiles, food and gaming, in a fun, engaging and inclusive way. Through seeing the difficulties of my own neurodivergent children in mainstream education, I know first hand of the importance of inclusivity, and strive to make my own lessons both enjoyable and accessible to any learner who wishes to enrol. I like to lead by example, and "make and do" along with the learners, so I am able to cater for a variety of learning styles.

Most of my classes are ongoing, weekly sessions, but these can be also used as one-time classes.

In the aftermath of these difficult times of social distancing, my gaming classes provide a great way for young people to safely connect with their peers and have fun!

I can't wait to welcome you to my classroom!

My class policies:

Subscription (ongoing) classes are billed weekly on a Sunday and can be cancelled on the learner page at any time in advance. Please feel free to attend my ongoing classes just once, by stopping the subscription after class.

Refunds cannot be offered for missed classes, but I offer a flexible transfer policy. Transfer requests must be made 24 hours in advance, and to a different time slot of the same class. Thank you for supporting these policies, that help me maintain smaller class sizes.
