This ongoing class will review the 2021 Major League Baseball season and discuss the future of the sport, from free agents, rule changes, trade rumors, and cover any up-to-date news.

Class Experience

In this fun, interactive class, we will review the 2021 season and look beyond to 2022.  We will review the games most impactful players and best teams.  We will cover and talk about newsworthy moments and dissect some of the best games played.  We will cover the awards given out to the game's best players, and give each student a chance to select it's MVP, Cy Young, Rookie of the Year and Manager of the Year.  

After reviewing the 2021 season we will move on to 2022.  We will talk about off-season news and cover free agent signings, trade rumors and discuss the games labor discussions.  

This class will teach each participant what into every decision a team faces and makes and will help them view the game with a broader perspective.  This will be an interactive class with participation expected.  We will have polls, ask questions, and seek opinions.  In this class, there is no wrong answer from students, as every thought and viewpoint is one that can spark greater ideas for every student which in turn, helps students learn the value of collaboration and brainstorming.  

We will use different methods of learning such as discussions, videos, numbers, articles, polls, etc.  This will be a fun and interactive class taught by a former Major League Player and current Major League coach.

The class will run until the start of Spring training.  

Kids of all levels of baseball knowledge are welcome, from advanced to beginner.  The class will be structured for those that feel they have less baseball knowledge than their peers to feel comfortable learning new things.  There will be access to the instructor to ask questions that might seem uncomfortable to ask in front of others, and there will never be a situation where the student will be on the spot in an uncomfortable situation.

The students will learn to value the power of collaboration, brainstorming, and debate while learning the game of baseball at a new level.

The teacher is currently on the coaching staff for Central Divisioni Champion, Chicago White Sox.  He has 14 years of professional baseball playing experience, 7 of them in the Major Leagues, playing for the New York Yankees, Cleveland Indians and Tampa Bay Rays.  7 years of professional coaching experience that includes being a minor league manager in the Arizona Diamondbacks organization, winning 2 league championships, and Major League coaching experience with the Toronto Blue Jays and Chicago White Sox.   He is an expert in all areas of the game, on the field and off the field.
