In this one time class, young artists will combine a variety of art mediums to create a beautiful mountain landscape. This is a small group class of 6 or less. Beginners welcome!

US Grade 1 - 4

Welcome to Ms. Amy's art class!

In this class we will create a beautiful mountain landscape.  Young artists will first be led through an easy to follow, step-by-step drawing.  After the drawing is complete, we will use crayons to color the trees, clouds, and parts of the majestic mountains.  My favorite part about this painting is creating a reflection of the sky in the lake.  Next, we add watercolor paints using the wax-resist , wet-on-wet, and layering techniques. Young artists will become more confident mixing different art mediums to create a beautiful work of art.  We will concentrate on three watercolor techniques: wet-on-wet, wax-resist, and layering.

I have been an art educator for over 25 years.  I earned my bachelor's degree in Art Education (K-12) from the University of Central Oklahoma.  I have taught in public schools, private schools, as well as homeschool co-op groups and private lessons.  I have been teaching art on Outschool since August 2021.
