What's included

30 mins in-class hoursClass Experience
Where does the mail go after you put in the mailbox? How does it get to your house? What is that a mail carrier does? Let's answer these questions together! At the beginning of this one-time class we will sing a song to welcome all our new friends. Then we will dive right into learning about mail carriers. First we will sing a song about what mail carriers do and then we will learn about the sequence of events that happens when you mail a letter. We will learn the steps that the mail goes through and then do an activity together in which children will hep put the steps back in the right order. Sequencing is a great skills for young children to help develop math and literacy skills! After learning about the sequence of the mail, we will learn about different kinds of mail. Children will play a game in which they will work together to sort the mail. Sorting is great practice for developing cognitive skills! And it's fun too! When we're done with these activities we will do a review activity. Please print the worksheet prior to class. Children will need to have some basic coloring utensils such as markers, crayons, or colored pencils. At the end we will sing a song to say goodbye! Children will receive a template for writing their own letter after class. This activity is an optional addition just for fun! Who will you send a letter to? After class children will receive certificate showing that they completed the course. I can't wait to meet your learners!
