Are you ready for your learner to become a magnificent musician? The ability to read and write musical notes is a foundational skill for musical learners who want to play an instrument and/or write their own songs. In this one time class, students will learn the musical notes of the treble clef. The class will begin with an introduction by Miss Ella and each learner. Learners will be invited to share their favourite genre of music/ song. Supplies Needed: Name The Notes Worksheet (in 1st classroom post), pencil, pencil crayons Students will: -learn musical terms: staff, treble clef, quarter note -learn that a quarter note is 1 count -learn acronyms for the names of notes in the spaces -practice drawing quarter notes on the treble clef -play a game to reiterate the note names Pre-requisite skills: Students should be able to print letters - A through G. Please Note: During teacher instruction and explanations, all learners will be muted. When practicing note names and answering questions, learners will be unmuted. **Feel free to message me if there's another class time that would work better for you. I'm always open to adding new class sections!**
Learning Goals
Students will learn the terms staff, treble clef and quarter note.
They will learn an acronym to help remember the space note names on the treble clef staff.
