In this one time class, preschool and kindergarten students will be exploring what is magnetic and what is non magnetic.
Class experience
At the beginning of this class, students will predict whether the objects we are using are magnetic or non-magnetic. We will practice making predictions as well as charting our predictions into columns. After we have made our predictions, we will test out our objects in a hands on trial. We will discuss and chart our results. Finally, we will discuss why items are magnetic. The teacher will use additional resources to explain and show what some things were magnetic and some were not.
