Class Experience

This is a great way for young learners to understand music theory and harmony.

Class One: Learning about half steps and whole steps in music. Intervals and basic ear training

Class Two: The four types of triads and how to construct them.

Class Three: Application of triads in contemporary music.

Prior musical experience is helpful but not required. All are welcome to learn about how music and math are directly related!
Learning Goals
Students will get a nice handle on basic music theory in a fun, interactive way. We will learn about intervals, inversions, chord types, and chord progressions.

Teacher expertise and credentials
I've taught many kids music over the past 18 years and I've tried everything to make music theory fun and interesting. Magnet tiles are a cool way to color code intervals and have kids learn the math of music!
