Description
Class Experience
Learners will explore a deeper use of descriptive adjectives and the benefit of sentence structure.
I am a California certified English Language Teacher and have been teaching creative writing for the past 12 years. I am fascinated with reading books about magic and have had some great conversations with learners about the topic. So I've incorporated learners outside interests of magic into my teaching.
There is daily homework for each learner: DAY 1 ~ 1) Learners decide what their spell/potion will do 2) learners prepare ancient paper to write their spells/potions (tea-stained paper, recipe attached) DAY 2 ~ learners complete their spells worksheets DAY 3 ~ Learners complete potions if not finished in class DAY 4 ~ Learners complete their spells/potions on ancient paper if not finished in class
2 files available upon enrollment1) white unlined paper 2) black tea (such as Lipton) and a bowl 3) pen or pencil
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
Learners writing will be evaluated during class time.
2 hours 55 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
