Have you ever wanted to make your own ice cream at home? In this class, we will learn the magic behind making ice cream in a bag! With just a few simple ingredients, you will be able to create a yummy treat. And of course, at the end of class, you'll get to eat it! We will learn some fun facts about ice cream as well as the science behind it. We will also discover how the magic ingredient salt can help us create this yummy summer treat! This class will be interactive as we all learn together.

Students will learn that salt lowers the freezing point.

Supply List
Students will need the following ingredients to make the ice cream: 2 tbsp sugar 1 cup half and half 1/2 tsp vanilla ice 1/2 cup salt 1 gallon freezer bag 1 quart freezer bag 1 1/2 tbsp chocolate syrup (optional) gloves or oven mitts (for your hands in case they get cold while shaking the ice cream)
