This is a one-time online class where students will make a fun flying unicorn craft using simple craft supplies. When students are done, they will have an amazing unicorn that can fly through the sky!

Description

Class Experience

We will be creating a magical unicorn craft using a paper plate and pipe cleaners. Students will begin by sharing their favorite things about unicorns and why they love them. Then, we will proceed with creating our magical craft, step by step, taking time to enjoy our art. I will work with students to complete the craft in a step by step manner and check in on them as they work. As students work, we will discuss all things unicorn. When we are done, students will listen to a unicorn story and...

Students will be learning about unicorns and how to complete a task in a step-by-step manner.

  1 file available upon enrollmentThe following supplies will be required to complete this craft: 
~ Unicorn handout (provided)
~ small paper plate 
~ scissors
~ pipe cleaners of various colors 
~ markers 
~ clear tape

30 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.

The paper plate will need to have 3 holes poked in the top. One hole should be poked in the front of the plate, and two holes should be poke towards the back of the plate, directly across from each other. We will be putting pipe cleaners in the holes on the plate to create a rainbow and to place our unicorn. Holes can be made with a hole punch or with a pair of scissors. Please do this for your child ahead of time if you are not comfortable with them poking holes into their plate.
