"Teaching Respect And Understanding Through Value Based Stories (Ages 5-8)" is an ongoing class, that will create an enjoyable reading experience, and ignite your child's imagination, listening to engaging stories through an animals perspective. We will work on our listening skills, use our imaginations, relate the characters, themes, and values/morals of the stories to our own lives, and be kind, positive and respectful to all students in class.
As a retired Preschool teacher of 25+ years and a teacher in all grades of elementary school, middle school and Hi school, I've read thousands of books to students over the years! I love reading with all ages. We all learn differently. Some read, some must listen to better comprehend what they hear. If students can acquire a love for learning and reading in the style that works best for them, they will do better in all areas of learning.

This class does not need any purchased materials nor will any be sent. If your child listens better while being engaged in an activity they may want to bring paper and coloring materials and they could draw a picture about the story we are reading. This practice also aides in retaining what they hear!
