Students will use crayons and watercolor paint to make art. As a class, your child will get the opportunity to interact with Teacher Jenah and the other students and discover the magic of water and wax resisting. Your child will learn a new watercolor painting technique and we will focus on the creation of a winter scene using 'cool colors.' We will walk through the process step by step, first, discussing what we see outside during winter time, second, using crayons to create our winter landscape and finishing with watercolor paint. No prior knowledge is necessary for this class.
Learning Goals
Students will learn the term 'landscape,' Learn a new watercolor painting technique, and practice using their imagination to create and discover!

Supply List
White crayon White construction paper Other crayon colors (optional) Cup of water Paint brush Watercolor paints (specifically blue, purple, green) Cookie sheet for easy clean up (optional- have students place their piece of paper inside of the cookie sheet to keep cleanup easy)

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

I am currently on my 12th year as public Elementary Art teacher, with experience teaching dance, yoga, and ESL. I have loved meeting so many different students over the past 12 years and forming relationships.
