Let's take a literary trip to the Middle Ages with the Magic Tree House Book 2, "The Knight at Dawn!" This course is a continuation of my Magic Tree House book club series. We will read our books together aloud in class while covering ELA standards for the general 6-8 age group. We'll also share and discuss the Middle Ages together! Week 1Lesson 1Dive Into the Middle AgesIn this intro class, we'll meet each other, learn more about the Middle Ages, and read Chaps 1-2. Students will read Chap 3 for homework.Week 2Lesson 2Read the Knight at Dawn and Discuss the Middle AgesWe'll socialize and share, discuss the Middle Ages, discuss Chapter 3, and read Chapters 4-5 together. Students read Chap 6 for homework.Week 3Lesson 3Mid-Book Check-In and Quiz DiscussionWe'll share our latest finds, discuss Chapter 6, and read Chapters 7-8 together. Students will take their quiz for homework.Week 4Lesson 4Wrap Up the Middle AgesWe'll socialize and share, discuss the quiz results, read chapters 9-10 together, and celebrate "The Knight at Dawn"!
