Class Experience

Each week we will meet to discuss the Magic Treehouse book of the week. Magic Treehouse books are great for children to begin reading chapter books! In this class, students will read the book of the week independently prior to class starting. During class will have fun discussions about the selected book, learn about the topic of the book, enhance their vocabulary by learning words they may not have understood while reading, and sometimes do fun crafts. Students will answer comprehension questions as part of the discussion and have lots of fun doing it! This course is a fantastic way to build your child's love of reading, improve reading fluency, as well as their understanding of reading comprehension skills. Each class students are encouraged to bring a yummy snack to enjoy during our book club meeting!

Please refer to the syllabus to find which Magic Treehouse book we are discussing each week.

Before the class, I will upload any papers that students will need for that week so they can have it printed and ready for class.
