Description
Class Experience
In this fun and exciting class, your child will take an adventure to the Roman Empire. They will get to join Jack and Annie in an attempt to save the ancient city of Pompeii before it is destroyed! They will be so excited and captivated by the lesson and story content that they won't even notice that they are becoming better readers. Since this class is reading based, your child will need to be able to read at a basic level and be at least somewhat comfortable with reading aloud. This book...
Students will learn to gain confidence with reading aloud as well as how to make predictions about a story, sequence the events of the story, summarize chapters of the story, and comprehension skills.
Students may be given homework to practice or review content.
Your child will need the following items: a personal copy of Vacation Under the Volcano pencil or pen additional materials will be sent via email 24 hours before class begins
Each lesson will contain reviews so I can assess the progress of learners. In addition, daily assignments will be given to each student so the parents will be able to see what they are learning and report trouble areas to me.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This book is about the escape of 2 children who are racing to keep a city from being destroyed.
