In this 5-week course, we will read through the first Magic Tree House Book #1 - Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. Each class we will read 2 chapters and discuss what happened, characters, plot, and what we think will happen next.

US Grade 1 - 4
In this 5-week course, we will go through Magic Tree House Book 1 - Dinosaurs Before Dark by Mary Pope Osborne. Each class, we will read two chapters and review the chapter. Students are encouraged to read outside of class but are not required as we will be reading the book in class. During the review, we will work on reading comprehension by going over a few questions about the story. We will discuss why the characters made certain choices and use our imagination to create what ifs for what could have changed in the story. We will give ideas as to what might happen next in the story. Class structure: 5 minutes - Intros 15 minutes - Chapter Read Through 8 minutes - Chapter Review 2 minutes - Goodbyes This is recommended for ages 7 - 12 reading level. Other students are welcome but please let me know if they are outside of this reading level. It is recommended that all students have the book to read in class but it is not required. It can be purchased online, in stores, or checked out at many local libraries.

Lesson 2:
Chapter 3 and Chapter 4
We will read through Chapter 3 Where is Here? and Chapter 4 Henry. Then we will review the chapters and answer questions. 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 3:
Chapter 5 and Chapter 6
We will read through Chapter 5 Gold in the Grass and Chapter 6 Dinosaur Valley. Then we will review the chapters and answer questions. 30 mins online live lesson
Lesson 4:
Chapter 7 and Chapter 8
We will read through Chapter 7 Ready, Set, Go! and Chapter 8 A Giant Shadow. Then we will review the chapters and answer questions. 30 mins online live lesson
