In this book club, students will take a trip to ancient Egypt! They will meet together to discuss the Magic Tree House Book Mummies in the Morning. Students will be assigned chapter readings for each lesson. In class, we will answer reading comprehension questions, summarize chapter content, discuss characters and plots, and make predictions. Students will practice content that will make them better readers. The class will be structured as follows: Day 1: We will read chapters 1-2 aloud in...
Students will learn about reading for content and comprehension as well practice summarizing and predictions!
Students will read some chapters each night for homework. We will discuss these chapters in the following class. Homework should take no more than 20 minutes and parents pay read along with the child.
Your child will need a personal copy of the book Mummies in the morning.
1 hour 30 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
This story is about ancient Egypt and will contain themes such as mummies, ghost, and the potential danger of Jack and Annie.
