Let's dive into the first five books of the beloved and exciting Magic Tree House series. Over the course of five weeks will examine comprehension questions, vocabulary, character, plot, as well as creative writing prompts in line with each story. Since this is a SELF-PACED course it means we do not meet in live classes. Instead learners can go through this at their own pace and at times that work best for them! There will be pre-recorded videos by me, multiple games and activities for vocabulary work and reading comprehension as well as plot, character and setting review in the form of open-ended critical thinking responses. Learners can rewind, pause and even re-watch the videos as many times as they need to.

Hello! I absolutely love reading, writing and language and I believe fostering that starts with our littlest learners. I enjoy diving into literature and making the story come alive, while also helping to foster comprehension skills, vocabulary development and critical thinking. I aim to create an atmosphere of community and a safe place to share thoughts and ideas.
After a few years teaching (4-8th grade) English and Writing and ESL (PK-8th grade) I am now a stay at home mom, in the process of writing my very own book, and teaching here on Outschool. It is in honor to help kids learn and grow as readers, writers and speakers.
