This ongoing class is designed to encourage independent reading and develop communication skills through guided discussions each week.
Class experience
US Grade 2 - 4
In this ongoing class the learners read each book BEFORE class and then meet together to discuss the Magic Tree House: Merlin Missions books. You may choose to read the book with your learner, let them read to you or have them read independently. During the class time the learners will be given the opportunity to share their favorite scene in the book and identify which characters they can best relate to. The teacher will guide the discussion so everyone will have the chance to share and to...
Read independently and be able to discuss a short novel. Be able to pass AR test on each novel. (check child's school or public library on where to locate these AR tests)

Students need to purchase Magic Tree House/Merlin Missions books or borrow them from the public library system. These titles will be listed in the class description and schedule. Teacher will announce the next book at the end of each class and post it in the class notes. Students should have the book in class during discussions and may be asked to read a short selection to answer a question.
