Class Experience

US Grade Kindergarten - 3
The "Magic Tree House" series lets learners explore different worlds and go on adventures. Being able to share their love for the book series, help them build a love for reading. They also lean about different topics. Each week a different book is chosen for the learners to read outside of class. Once they are in class they can share their favorite moments in the book. I also provide discussion questions to get the group to participate in a discussion. Learners are free to ask their own questions. Talking about the reading and getting into the habit of reading every week help build comprehension skills as well. Here is a weekly breakdown of the book list. After the book list is finished, the list will start over again.

Hello. My name is Michelle. For the past few years I have been tutoring English for non English speakers. In the past I have been a substitute teacher and hosted financial wellness classes. I have a BA in Film. Film and television are my passions. I look forward to teaching class about film studies, the American version of "The Office", how to make a budget and fiction book clubs. I believe in making the classroom fun and educational. I also enjoy having open discussions about the class topic. I am also a big Disneyland fan. I enjoying planning trips for my family to Disneyland. I'm excited to meet new student and always welcome retuning students.
