The Magic Tree House series are favorites of many elementary students... and Miss Hannah. Getting to join Annie and Jack on their adventures each week is so exciting! This class is taught in English.
Students will learn to use comprehension and recall to discuss each book.
The Magic Tree House books have always been a favorite of mine. I enjoy helping students better understand and comprehend the material they've read. With a Master's degree in Communication, I enjoy helping students learn how to better communicate their ideas or explain their favorite part of a book. This is a skill students can continue to use throughout other areas of their life as well.
Before the class discussion, students will need to read the book we will be discussing ahead of time.
Students will need their own copy of the Magic Tree House book(s) for the class section they plan to attend. These can be physical or virtual copies. Some students enjoy listening to the audiobook as well. All are perfectly acceptable options.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
An informal assessment on student's participation can be provided upon request.
35 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 1 - 2 hours per week outside of class.
