The Magic Tree House Book 5: Night of the Ninjas In this fun and interactive book club we will read 1 book per week. For reluctant readers, that may sound impossible but this series by Mary Pope Osborne is easy to read, yet fun and engaging. Repetition is key to learning new skills, therefore I encourage all students to read about two chapters a day outside of class to keep up with the pace we will read. -develop a love for reading -character analysis - vocabulary -comprehension skills -plot development -making predictions -connecting text to life -connecting text to other text -summation - comparing and contrasting story elements
Learners are encouraged to read 2 chapters (about 10 pages) a day outside of class to keep up with the pace of class. We will read in class as well but reviewing/ previewing the text is essential to improved understanding and retention. *If we do not finished the assigned reading in class learners will responsible for the reading the designated chapters between classes.
