Join Jack and Annie on a thrilling journey to ancient Japan in Magic Tree House #5: Night of the Ninjas! In this 5-week course, we’ll travel through time, sneak through shadows, and learn the secrets of the ninjas!

Each week, we’ll read two exciting chapters together, dive into fun discussions, and put our ninja skills to the test with hands-on projects like crafting your own magic tree house model, designing ninja headbands, and writing secret messages in “ninja code”!

Perfect for curious young readers who love magic, mystery, and adventure! Get ready to read, imagine, and create—because the magic tree house is waiting for you!

Into the Tree House! (Chapters 1 & 2)
 Discussion Topics:
Discuss the setting and the mystery of the tree house.
Predictions: Where will the tree house take Jack and Annie this time?

Story Sequencing: Arrange key events from the chapters in the correct order.

Hands-On Project:
Make Your Own Tree House Model
Using paper towel rolls, craft sticks, and paper, create a mini version of the magic tree house!
Decorate with leaves, and write a “magic note” to place inside, just like Jack and Annie find.

Ninja Surprise (Chapters 3 & 4)
 Discussion Topics:
Discuss Jack and Annie’s encounter with the ninjas.
Talk about courage and how the characters face fear.

Character Traits Chart: List character traits of Jack, Annie, and the ninjas.

Ninja Headbands
Create your own ninja headbands using fabric strips and markers.

Invisible Ink Messages
Using lemon juice and a cotton swab, write secret messages.
Hold paper up to a heat source to reveal the hidden ninja messages!

Discuss how Jack and Annie use stealth and cleverness.

Create simple shadow puppets with paper and craft sticks.
Reenact scenes from the chapters using a flashlight and your puppets!
