In this 3-day class, we will be discussing The Magic School Bus Rides Again - Carlos Gets the Sneezes. Carlos gets a new pet rat and wants to convince the principal to love the little guy too. But when he can't stop sneezing, Ms. Frizzle takes the class in for a closer look at how to get Carlos to stop sneezing before his big meeting with Principal Ruhle. Let's talk about the adventure together! Class will consist of instructor-directed discussion. Discussion topics will include the reader's favorite moments in the story, parts of the story they found scary, or who their favorite characters were and why. The class will conclude with a review of our feelings and opinions as we decide if we would recommend this book to a friend. On Friday, we will also be presenting paragraphs or short stories that use the terms from the glossary! What story will you come up with?! Want to create a sculpture or art piece related to the story? That works too! Present your creation on the last day of class. Students will also be given a book report to fill out as well as a list of literary terms that we will be reviewing on the last day of class! Psst! You do not have to read the other books in this series to enjoy this adventure!
