Description

Class Experience

This is a great class for learners who are new to division, learn best with hands-on learning, or want to be able to discuss division instead of just memorizing the facts. 

Students will use items around their house to show division visually. Students will be given a number and will make equal groups using items they have around the house. I prefer to use a bag of beans because they are easy to manipulate, affordable and there are so many in a bag. You can use anything you like, as long as...

Students will better understand how to identify dividends, divisors and quotients to solve division equations.

Homework will be posted to the classroom tab.

Students are encouraged to use a whiteboard to participate during the class and notebook to record any notes that will help them reflect on the material outside of class.

Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.

Students will be assessed informally during the class.

45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
