Class Experience

I have taught creative writing to children and teens for more than two years.
Students will submit a piece of writing (300-500 words) for feedback, revision, and sharing in the final class.
Learners will use a word processing tool or platform like Google Docs, Microsoft Word or Pages.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
45 minutes per week in class, and an estimated 0 - 1 hours per week outside of class.
As the fantasy genre centers around magic, the mention of witchcraft, wizardly powers, and the fantastical is almost inevitable. However, I will use examples that are drawn from Middle Grade novels or children movies that are age appropriate. We will not be discussing any works that are highly violent or sexual in nature.

This is an interactive class. For safety and the best learning experience, students are expected to have a working microphone and camera. Students must turn on their cameras for the entirety of this class and position them so I can see their faces. Students who do not do so will miss out on valuable engagement from me and the rest of the students.
