Class Experience
Let's make some crazy stories! In this one-time class students will learn about nouns, adjectives, and verbs while creating some funny stories using mad libs templates. Class will begin with an explanation of what are nouns (singular/plural, common/proper), adjectives (absolute, comparative, superlative), and verbs (past, present, future). Then, the students will participate in concept checking activities to ensure that they have understood everything before moving on to the next part....
Students will understand what nouns, adjectives, and verbs are. Students will be able to distinguish between singular/plural and common/proper nouns. Students will learn about past, present, and future tense verbs. Students will understand the different types of adjectives (absolute, comparative, superlative) and how to use them. Students will learn a variety of nouns, verbs, and adjectives.
No homework will be assigned for this class, but the students will be provided some additional mad libs stories to complete on their own or with family for added fun.
55 minutes per week in class, and maybe some time outside of class.
