This class will cover parts of speech for students between 6-10 years of age. We will talk about the words that form sentences, why we use certain words, and what they mean. We will practice forming sentences and explain why or why not we use certain words, for example: the differences between past and present tense. Students will improve their vocabulary by working together to list parts of speech, and words for those categories. They will be able to identify parts of speech, use the definitions in sentences, and apply those parts of speech to Mad Lib activities.
Students should come to this class prepared with a piece of paper and a writing utensil.
Learners will not need to use any apps or websites beyond the standard Outschool tools.
