Class Experience

Welcome to the on going Mad Libs class! I have all these stories that are missing so many words and I need your help! Come join me as you take turns with your classmates to fill in what nouns, adverbs, and more are needed to complete the story. (Don't worry I will help you along the way, with what each type of word is.) After all of the blanks are filled in sit back and laugh as you hear what silly story you have made. This class is a great way to work on what each type of word is, social interaction, and quick thinking.
If your student is learning English this is a great way to learn more about word types and learning through conversation.

Class will start off with each student introducing themselves and answering an introduction question (Example: What is your favorite movie? or What is your favorite sport?).
We will meet weekly to work on nouns, verbs, adjectives, and more.
I will go over what each type of word we will need and what it is (example: a noun is a person, place, or thing). I will also be reminding students of this as we go along. Incase you're not familiar with mad libs, its a fill in the blank style story. The blanks are filled in with random words from a chosen category (noun, verb, shape, ect). I will be filling in the blanks with the words the students have chosen. After all of the blanks have been filled in I will read the story aloud to the students. This is meant to be silly. However students will be working on social skills, public speaking, language arts, and quick thinking skills. We will be doing a minimum of one story per class, but can usually get in 2-3 stories per class.
Stories each week will have various themes, therefore there is not a certain topic/theme for each class. However will always be working on vocabulary.
