Lyric Writing 2 : Writer's Block Workshop

Welcome to Lyric Writing 2! 
Yes, I now offer 2 Lyric Writing classes: Part 1 gives you the tools; Part 2 helps you figure out what to build with those tools! Both parts are essential, but each deserve a separate focus and approach! 

To review Part 1: That class focuses on how to use unique forms of rhyme, structure, meter/phrasing + figurative language in order to improve your skills as a lyricist. You’ll learn how to make the biggest impact on your listener with your message.

This class is Part 2... or as I like to call it “Writer’s Block Workshop”
It’s all about idea-generating, overcoming “creative-slowdown”, and establishing regular practices that nurture your creativity as a writer. 

Hopefully you took part 1 and you now have some useful tools, but if you don’t know what to build, then those tools aren’t much use, right?! 

Instead of feeling stuck, waiting around for inspiration to strike, I'm going to show you how to channel your muse whenever you want to! You'll learn unique methods for conjuring up new ideas, and emerge as a more efficient writer. By the time you have taken Parts 1 + 2, you will know not only how to write effective lyrics, but how to come up with the content that inspires you most! 

Songwriting is a skill that can be strengthened over time like a muscle. This course introduces students to some helpful habits that can turn their love of writing into a regular practice.

- Both this course, and Part1 are an excellent complement to my "Intro to Songwriting" course. They can also be taken on their own, if you so choose!
- No previous knowledge is required! 
- There will be no formal homework assignments, but lots of suggestions for independent practice.
