Class Experience

Have your kiddos grab their favorite blanket, their coziest pillow, and a cup of water. During our class we will create a cozy atmosphere in preparation for bedtime. Class will begin with an interactive group game where students will sing and count together. This will be followed by some familiar tunes most students will already know. Once everyone is comfortable, we will sing a set of lullabies that are both familiar and new. Additionally, we will discuss the moon, the stars, and talk about fireflies!

Teacher expertise and credentials
Hi! My name is Christina Brown and I am so excited to work with your child. I specialize in both music and in school counseling. I have a Bachelors of Music in Music Education with an emphasis in Kodaly training. I actively taught PreK-5th grade for 10 years while teaching Private Voice and Piano to all ages.

I also earned a Masters of Education in School Counseling and worked as a Professional School Counselor with an emphasis in Play Therapy. During my time as School Counselor, I have found a unique approach to blend the use of music as a therapeutic tool. I am certified to teach music and to work as a Profession School Counselor PreK-12 grade.

In my classes, parents can expect students to have fun, be engaged, explore endless possibilities, sing, and play. After each child has completed a course for them to feel more confident and capable in their abilities to express themselves in a variety of ways.

In addition to being an educator and life-long learner, I am a proud mom of 4! We also have a small farm where we raise chickens and peacocks. My hobbies include cooking and bakes, traveling, and budgeting.
