This is a Flex class. There are no live meetings with flex courses. In this four week course students will learn to make four different low sugar horse treats. I have multiple rescue animals and I love to make homemade treats for them. My horse, Oakley, is the official taste tester of all the horse treats.
1 file available upon enrollmentoven knives measuring cups/spoons mixing bowl potholders or oven mits cookie sheet cake pan blender parchment paper 2 cup oats 1/4 cup peanut butter 3/4 cup flour 1 cup unsweetened applesauce (make sure no sugar is added) 1/2 cup shredded carrot 4 tbsp flax seed 2 tbsp + 1 tsp cinnamon 1 tbsp coconut oil 1 tbsp honey 3 pears (or can use 2 bananas or 2 apples if you prefer) 3 tbsp chia seeds
Students will be using knives, blender and the oven during this course. If your student in not familiar with the safety of using these items please assist them as needed. These horse treats are not completely sugar free, but are lower sugar content, with no added sugars. Please check the supply list below to check for allergies (both human and horse). If there is an allergy to an ingredient please message me prior to signing up to verify we can substitute that ingredient with something allergen free. Videos are uploaded to you tube, they are set for kids, so there are no ads with the video. They are listed as unlisted so students will only be able to view them with the link listed in the classroom each week.
